If only we could see every piece in every collection, we could know every variation in every color, and we could put a timeline together in one ultimate catalog.

THE CATALOG

Our mission is to serve collectors by enabling the co-creation of the ultimate catalog of Fiestaware, from 1936-1969. The ultimate catalog would contain each piece, color, and design variant of every Fiestaware item of the period, placed within a date range of production.

The original printed manufacturer catalogs (and a little inference) can be used by anyone to reconstruct a basic history of color and style. But these resources are incomplete. Little changes in the individual shapes and glaze applications of each style occurred that were not documented in catalogs.

These changes happened as the manufacturer evolved their production line, as some designs couldn’t hold up to consumer’s wear, or as designs were updated to reflect tastes. By identifying variations in styles and finding all colors of these variations, we can determine when they were made, within the broader date ranges of the style’s production.

If only we could see every piece in every collection, we could know every variation in every color, and we could put a timeline together in one ultimate catalog.

To accomplish this, we’re seeking the collective resources of all vintage collectors and fans to be our eyes.
